Day 1

Morning · Badaling Great Wall

Afternoon · Temple of Heaven
After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven, the sacred site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. The circular stone terraces of the Circular Mound Altar and the remarkable acoustics of the Echo Wall reflect the ancient Chinese cosmology of “Heaven is round, Earth is square.”
Evening · Houhai
End the journey with a relaxing walk around Houhai, where folk music drifting from the lakeside bars brings the trip to a memorable close.
